Thank you for stopping by! My goal for this blog site is that you catch a glimpse of my work and passion for capturing the beauty of life in the couples I meet and have the privilege of photographing.

Photography has been a passion of mine since I was a young girl with a hot pink, 110 film camera. I captured many random memories with that camera… My love for photography has continued through the years. I have traveled the globe in search of photographable moments, and I am pretty proud to say that I have come up with a few good ones ;)

I was born waaaay out on the West Coast of California, and had the privilege of spending the first few years of my life next door to a little scenic place called Yosemite National Park. I ready many books on Ansel Adams, and you could say that he was my first inspiration for capturing my world as I see it.

We ended up in Chicago just as I hit my teenage years. Our family came here to be near extended family on my Dad’s side. And while we always thought that we would head back West, it never happened. Chicago land would become home to us, and where I would launch into my photography career.

In January of 2008, I started dating this cute guy named Jamie. We fell in love in a matter of three days, got engaged just two months after our first date and married 4 months later. How is that for a whirlwind romance? Having photographed weddings for 6 years at that point, I kind of had an idea of what I wanted for a wedding, which made planning a little bit easier!

After our summer wedding, I moved all of my belongings to the beautiful town of Raleigh North Carolina. I fell in love with that area! I think that I wanted to be a Southerner all of my life, and I felt right at home there! From the readily available sweet tea, to the mild winters, and not to mention how polite and kind everyone is there. I would try my absolute best not to drive like a wild Chicagoan!

We had 5 wonderful years living in Cary North Carolina, we even bought our first home there and settled in. But after much prayer and consideration, we decided that it was time to move back to Illinois, where my immediate family lives, and where Jamie has extended family.
We traded the mild winter of North Carolina to be buried under the several feet of snow that we have had in the Chicago Suburbs. In all my years of living here previously, I don’t remember a winter quite like this!

And that is a little bit about me!

I would love to get to know you, and hear about your love story, and what you are dreaming of for your wedding!
