One phrase that I kept hearing repeated on Liz and Jesse’s wedding day was “it only took 14 years to get to this day!” Liz would laugh and Jesse would smile and shrug. These two knew they were meant to be together, they have just been so busy enjoying life together the last few years, that they knew a wedding would eventually take place.
Liz has been such an incredibly fun and easy going bride to work with this past year. She is such a happy person, and you can’t help but smile when you are around her. You can tell that Jesse adores her, and she feels the same about him. There were big smiles between these two all day long.
When I arrived at Liz’s parents home for the getting ready photos, the skies were dark and about to dump buckets on us. But was Liz worried about it at all? Nope! Her attitude was so positive at how the day would go, and rain or shine, she and Jesse were going to say their vows and get to their cocktail hour where a 12 person Mariachi band awaited them!
I could hardly believe it when the skies opened up and we had sunshine right after the ceremony, with just enough time for pictures in front of the Cathedral of Saint Raymond. Then it absolutely poured on our way to the Mistwood Golf Course. But once we were at Mistwood, the skies cleared again, and we had 30 minutes with a bit of sunshine and a downpour following. It was just perfect! I love it when timing works out like that. And of course, Jesse and Liz were just so happy and relaxed the whole day. My dream couple to work with!
It was an honor to work with Jesse and Liz, to meet their family and friends and to capture their wedding day. It is so special to see a love like theirs that stands the test of time together.
Cheers you two!
