Abigail | Raleigh Newborn Photography

This adorable little girl and I share a birthday! 31 years apart :) Her sweet family has been one of my favorite families to photograph over the past few years. I met them when I photographed their newborn son, Jace. And have seen them a few times a year since. I was so happy to hear that they were expecting a sweet little girl. When I woke up on my birthday, I had this funny feeling that Abigail and I would share a birthday. Imagine my surprise when I found out that it was true!

I adore this sweet little girl! I couldn’t help but create a hat that was Valentine’s themed. I love the gray and pink!

Kate | Raleigh Newborn Photographer

This sweet little one is #3 in her family! Hence, she is the third little one that I have photographed in her family. All three, such cute babies! I asked her momma if I could do this session for Kate as a “teaching” session. I had a friend fly in from out of State to learn about Newborn Photography. This was my first experience teaching about newborn photography, in a hands on session. It was great! I didn’t think that teaching was up my alley, but I loved sharing about how I photograph little ones.

Laurie and Billy | The Highgrove

Billy and Laurie had the perfect day for a wedding at the Highgrove on November 3rd. It was a crisp Fall day, and the trees surrounding the Highgrove were brilliant reds, yellows and oranges. I can’t help it, I love Fall weddings! They embody everything that I love about Fall…the colors, the cooler temps, love in the air, fabulous flowers, hot drinks, beautiful people….you know, FALL!

Billy and Laurie were surrounded by family and so many friends that came to wish them well, not only in their marriage, but for their new life in California. I am a teensy bit jealous that they have set up residence in California, I will always consider the Golden State to be my true home. I told Laurie that she shouldn’t be surprised if Jamie and I drop in for a visit one day!

I love the details that Laurie and Billy (and their Mothers!) incorporated into the day. From the handmade wreaths that graced the doors of the reception, the marshmallow roast that the Highgrove staff put on, to the collar flower for Lilly, their beloved puppy. I love that as the guests entered the Highgrove, they were given hot apple cider. Hopefully it made the coolness of the evening, a bit warmer for everyone through the ceremony.

After their beautiful candle lit ceremony, everyone had fun roasting marshmallows and dancing the evening away. A perfect celebration of Love.

Congrats you two!!! See you in Cali one day :)
