I think that I can call Brian and Marisa neighbors, they live just down the road from me and we have some of the same favorite spots in Yorkville! I can’t wait to run into them this Summer at one of Yorkville’s events.
When they were discussing wedding details with me, a big part of their day was to capture a bit of Yorkville in their wedding photos. This will always be the town that they bought their first house in, got married in and lived as newlyweds (and hopefully many more years!). It made sense that they would want to remember their wedding day with a few photos around town.
Getting ready for both Brian and Marisa happened in their home, I loved seeing all of the wedding touches throughout their house.
After their lovely ceremony at St Patricks church, the trolley took them to downtown Yorkville where we made good use of the old caboose that sits there (it’s been there for as long as I can remember!) and then it was decided that the wedding party needed to do shots at Rowdy’s. Hahaha! A tiny little bar, that had several wedding guests enjoying a drink. Shots were done all around and we were off to Emerson Creek Pottery and Tearoom for their lovely reception!
One of the reasons I love Emerson Creek is because it is tucked away, a little slice of peaceful countryside. It feels like you are hosting your wedding reception in your own backyard! Everyone ooh’s and ahhh’s over the gorgeous sunsets and the relaxed evening on the patio or dancing away in the barn.
It was a fabulous evening with plenty of good food, drinks, s’mores, Harners donuts and music to keep everyone on the dance floor.
Congratulations, Marisa and Brian! All the months and months of planning and hard work came together in one, beautiful and memorable day!
