Ahh, I have been waiting months and months for River and Allison’s big day! I truly do love each couple that I am privileged to work with, but I love River and Allison something extra special. These two are just so much fun! Their friend and officiant quoted a saying that River and Allison have hanging in their home “We are all a little weird and life’s a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love.” (Author Unknown) This had us all laughing at the ceremony because of how true it is of these two. I love the humor that their friend/officiant added into the ceremony, you could tell that he knows these two well and it was very special to have him as their officiant.
River and Allison chose to have their Spring wedding at Emerson Creek Pottery and Tearoom because they wanted a little something unique for their wedding day. They fell in love with the charm that Emerson offers, and the beautiful, rustic backdrop that the grounds give. When the forecast had been solidly forecast severe thunderstorms for their wedding day all week long, I held my breath and hoped that things would clear up. And like magic, it did! I kept happy dancing all day that we had sunshine, blue skies and puffy clouds as the backdrop for the big day. I do love a good dose of sunshine on wedding days!
I love that River and Allison chose some fantastic vendors… Viviana from Petal Play worked her magic with the florals and they were perfection. Everyone kept saying how beautiful they looked. Viviana also provided the string art table numbers that were specially made for River and Allison’s wedding day. I love the finishing touch they added to the tables! Joanna Goss did the styling for the wedding day, that girl worked from sun up long into the day to make sure that every detail was in place. She is fantastic! River commented to me at the reception that he kept noticing all of the details that Joanna had worked on and how well everything came together. Joanna definitely adds a special touch to everything she puts her hand to and it is always unique. The day came together so beautifully.
As guests danced the night away, enjoyed roasting s’mores on the patio and watched a lightning storm roll in over the fields…it was the perfect end to a day so full of love and happiness.
Congratulations you two! Love the fun day of celebration you hosted!
