Markie and Mark | Chicago Engagement Session

#samenamenoshame is their wedding hashtag! And I love it! These two are not only adorable, but they share a very similar name and they have a good time making puns about it and laughing over what the future will bring with such similar names.

They met at work, over the office coffee pot. In the telling of the story to me, there were jokes about how she asked for some sugar and the convo took a wildly funny turn from there. You can tell that these two love to laugh and have fun together. They love their life in the Windy City, and wanted their engagement session to reflect some of the city views as a backdrop. Their wedding will be in the suburbs this Fall, so it was a great opportunity to take advantage of a pleasant Spring day in the city.

Can I just say how much I adore Spring Sundays in Chicago? Chicago Summers tend to be a bit crowded. Full of people seeking to enjoy the streets, food, and entertainment of the city when the temperatures are not sub zero. Understandable! I have friends that refuse to visit Chicago October-April. But a gorgeous Summer in Chicago? Yes please! So, needless to say, everything gets a little more crowded on the weekends come Summer. These Spring weekends when just the locals are starting to venture out, restaurants are starting to open outdoor seating, and people are tentatively putting away their winter parkas…. These are the quiet, lazy days in Chicago that I love. The streets are practically empty! You can (safely!) run across Chicago bridges without a car in sight. However, we may have a blizzard tomorrow. So the bi-polar Spring days of Chicago are not for the faint of heart!

I am so very excited to be a part of this chapter in Markie and Marks lives. Their wedding this Fall will be a favorite of mine, I can already tell.
