When Amber and Nathan booked me for their September wedding, we knew that finding a time to do their engagement session would be interesting….as they live in Colorado! They were in town over the holidays, so in between holiday parties and celebrations, we found an afternoon for their Chicago engagement session. But if you’ve been in Chicago the end of December, you know that it can be a touch on the freezing side! We can just be thankful that average temperatures in December were much higher this year than last.
When factoring in the cold and inclement weather, Nathan and Amber decided to go with a location that would lend itself to a warm indoor option, with a little bit of outside area too, Salvage One in Chicago. Salvage One is a unique space filled with antiques and found objects, mainly used for a wedding venue, it is also store that sells the items displayed. Such a fun location!
We had a great afternoon wandering all three floors of the expansive building, finding the afternoon light and quirky backdrops that Salvage One offers.
I was so excited to get to know Nathan and Amber a little bit more, they are a sweet couple that is so excited for their wedding in a few months.
