In the middle of July, I always think that January 1st is so very far away. But then, boom! All of the sudden, I am staring January 1st right in the face and I can hardly believe that another, very busy, year has passed.
This year, as I started my 2015 wedding season on a private island in Puerto Rico, and ended wedding season on a beach in Cozumel, with so many gorgeous Chicago weddings in between… I think of how thankful I am for each and every one of my clients. I have spent the last 2 years getting to know most of the brides and grooms featured here today. From our initial meeting, to photographing their engagement session, to hearing about the details of their big day, to being a part of their wedding day, and then following up with them for images and albums. It is a lengthy process and I definitely enjoy getting to know each of my couples better through each step of the way!
I wanted to blog a year end recap of this amazing year I have had. It is extremely hard to narrow down my favorites, and as you can see by the length of this blog post, I couldn’t narrow it down too much! I’ve included in this post a few of my favs from Chicago Engagement sessions. This year I explored more ground in Chicago than I ever have before and discovered some truly unique and beautiful locations to photograph in the city. I feel like the possibilities for great texture and light in Chicago is endless.
A first for me this year, I was featured on Wedding Guide Chicago with images from Mike and Jorie’s gorgeous Emerson Creek Wedding. I can barely contain my excitement about the feature, and am so happy that this beautiful couple graces the pages of the magazine (which I have yet to get my hands on a copy!)
Cheers to 2015 being a wonderful year, full of amazing people, lovely details and so many happy moments! Looking forward to what 2016 will bring.
