Remember that bridal show I did last Summer? Well, I was very happy to meet Kim and David at that show. They stopped by my booth to check out my albums, and loved them so much they started to ask questions about booking me for their destination wedding in Puerto Rico. I was more than happy to chat with them about the details for their beach wedding at the El Conquistador in Fajardo. They are the sweetest couple, and after their engagement last Fall, I had a good idea of their sense of humor. They don’t take too many things too seriously, and I love it!
Once the flurry of booking our tickets and finalizing details for our trip, we had to wait through the long and agonizing winter in Chicago. Having a big trip in March was the highlight of our winter, and we were so excited to witness Kim and David share their vows with each other in front of an intimate group of family and friends.
The staff at the El Conquistador were so helpful and wonderful to work with. They made sure that all of the details were in place and that everything went smoothly for the ceremony and also their intimate reception. We had gorgeous views from the terrace where the reception dinner was held, you just wanted to stand and watch the palm trees sway in the gentle breeze and the cotton candy clouds settle over the mountains at sunset.
I love photographing destination weddings and whenever we have the opportunity to travel the world, we jump at it! We are so happy that Kim and David asked us to be a part of their day and to capture it for them. I hope that they cherish these moments for so many years to come.
Now I am off to cry in the corner because Spring has not come to Chicago yet…and I am dreaming of the beach…and this view…how can you not miss this view??
