Stephanie and Andy | Marbles Museum | Raleigh, North Carolina

When I met Stephanie last year, I was excited to hear that she was in the process of moving to Chicago to be near her fiancé and for her job. When I told her that I too would be moving to Chicago, we hit it off immediately! Trekking to the North…before winter. And what a winter it was! But we all survived!
I met up with Andy and Stephanie downtown Chicago for their engagement last Fall. It was so fun to be able to incorporate a piece of their new lives together (Chicago!) and then be able to photograph their wedding in North Carolina (where Stephanie is from).
The weather was a little hot, but not as hot as it could have been on a June day in Raleigh. We had a delightful breeze, and when you were standing in the shade it was actually quite pleasant. After getting ready at the Marriott downtown Raleigh, they had their first look right off of Fayetteville Street. I love first looks! It was such a sweet moment between Andy and Stephanie, and how fun that they could spend the rest of the day hand in hand, walking through one of the most important days of their lives.
We wandered downtown Raleigh to a few key spots, the Boylan Street Bridge, the new mural on the Convention center, and the Capitol grounds. I loved their bridal party, and the fun that they brought to the day, such a caring group of family and friends.
Andy and Stephanie chose to have their ceremony and reception at the Marbles Children’s Museum. A whimsical and fun location for a wedding!! The guests enjoyed wandering through the museum discovering all of the unique things the museum has to offer.
After dancing the evening away, the exited to sparklers and many cheers! Congratulations Stephanie and Andy! Hoping to bump into you in Chicago someday soon!
