In July, I received a call from a bubbly voiced girl, Kristen. She was calling to inquire about wedding photography, and quickly asked if I would be available for a September wedding. Why yes, I said, I am! A few phone calls back and forth, and she and Zach had booked me for their wedding! Since they live in Charlotte, we agreed upon an engagement session at the location of where there wedding will be held, the Berry Hills Resort/Plantation. This was my first visit to the property, and I am quite impressed with the location! What a gorgeous, Southern Plantation! From the stately mansion, to the outbuildings and old homestead “ruins”. Definitely a unique location, one that I wish was closer to home! It was almost a 2 hour drive from Cary, and a 3 hour drive from Charlotte. I love that it is a little, Virginia Destination location!
Kristen and Zach are the sweetest couple, and I enjoyed getting to know them throughout the evening, and hearing about their wedding plans. I am so excited for the end of September!
Of course, we have to start the pictures with my favorite one of all! A sunset shot :)
