If I thought September flew by quickly, I am even more amazed at how the days of October are slipping off of the calendar! There has definitely not been a dull moment since Graham and Julie’s 10.01.11 wedding earlier this month.
Graham and Julie’s wedding day felt like the first true day of Fall. We had nice crisp weather and gorgeous blue skies for their big day. I started with the girls getting ready at MacGregor Downs Country Club. The guys arrived shortly after, and since we were just down the hall from the guys, bridesmaids and the bridesman kept running interference so that Graham and Julie didn’t see each other. Although, they did have a sweet moment, set up by the bridesmaids, of both of them holding hand around a door…and then Graham passed a sweet note to Julie. I didn’t read it, of course! But Julie shed a few happy tears, so I am sure it was a very sweet note :)
I had never been to MacGregor Downs before, but loved it! The golf course is beautiful and expansive. I could have spent hours wandering around with Julie and Graham on our golf carts. So many great spots for pictures!
The ceremony was held outdoors, under a tent. There were just a few raindrops (for good luck!) prior to the ceremony starting, and then the sun reappeared and stayed. The ceremony was full of sweet words between the minister and Julie and Graham. I loved hearing more about them, and seeing how deeply they love each other. There were plenty of happy tears shed!
We quickly did family pictures on the course, and then were off for bridal party pictures! Thank goodness the staff stocked up the golf carts with beer (who knew?!!) because it kept everyone warm and in good spirits as we careened around the golf course. I thought I was going to get run over at one point…thank goodness I didn’t ;)
I knew the food at the reception would be amazing, as Julie is a Chef and was sure to select something delicious! It was, every single bite! Dancing went late into the late, so late that I thought they would miss their 4am flight for their honeymoon! But no, they were off in a cloud of bubbles!
Julie and Graham – I have loved working with you. From the engagement session, to bridal portraits, and your wedding day. You truly are a fun couple, that is deeply and madly in love. You make each other laugh, and you can be crazy and silly together. You love those around you, and were surrounded by the most amazing friends and family on your big day. I wish you years and years of happiness together!!
Julie asked me to take pictures of her with the guys, and then Graham with the girls. As I was taking pictures of Julie with the guys, Graham comes out of nowhere and leaps in front of them! It was hilarious and completely unexpected!
Then Julie did the same!
Happy Fall everyone!
