The weather forecast created a bit of drama for this bridal session. We have had, sunny, 80 degrees the past week, and then the weekend hit with 50 degrees of cloudy and rainy weather. We almost pushed the session back a few weeks, but decided to try and beat the rain by doing a morning session. It was perfect! Well, I say that. I wasn’t the one in a sleeveless, lace, wedding gown with no jacket! Marilyn braved the cold and had fun with her session. It was sweet that both her Mom and Dad were there for the session, they were so helpful!
I love the details that Marilyn had for her bridal session – her florist has created a bouquet out of vintage pins. It is a very unique idea, and perfect in place of a fresh flower bouquet. She also has the most whimsical pair of pink high heels that went along with her dress (and personality) perfectly! And don’t even get me started on her bird cage head piece, with vintage feathers. I hear that etsy has played a big part in the details of this wedding! Love it.
Elizabeth from Sweet Life Photo once again generously offered to come along and help with the session. We have been having such a great time shooting together. I am looking forward to tagging along on one of her bridal sessions this week. I can’t say enough about taking a break from shooting, and watching another photographer in action. It really helps create a new perspective for you, as you step back and watch creative juices flow in someone else’s work.
Marilyn gave me permission to post a few pictures, and she will keep her fiancée (Jonathan) away from my blog! We have about a month and a half until their May wedding, I am so excited!
More to come after the BIG DAY!
