When I first met Erica, her mom and twin sister at the initial consultation for wedding photography, I was excited to hear about the wedding location they had chosen. The Chinqua Penn Plantation is located in Reidsville, North Carolina and is this gorgeous mansion (more like a castle) that was built in the 1920′s. The original owners traveled the world in search of unique pieces for the home, and the collection is magnificent. The artwork, sculptures, furniture…simply breathtaking. Add to that a stunning bride, and you have the perfect photo shoot!
Not only was the house immense (27 rooms!) but the gardens are incredible as well as the vineyard. I really thought I had stepped into the English countryside for the session. Who knew that such an amazing venue was an hour and thirty minutes from Raleigh?
We were having so much fun indoors, that I almost forgot to head outdoors. But I am glad we did head outside to explore, as the images of her walking towards to large tree (that they will be married under) and walking through the vineyard, are some of my favorites!
I seriously had a hard time choosing just a “few” photos, so this post is rather lengthy. But Erica was simply stunning in her gown (perfect choice) and birdcage veil, with a modern, fun, feather hair piece. She pulls off vintage very well!
Looking forward to their wedding which is just a few weeks away!!

Cheers!
