Waaaay back in January, I get an e-mail from Laura who was super excited to have discovered that they have a little one on the way. She wanted info on a maternity session, a newborn session, how it all works, when should we plan for these sessions…all good questions, and all good things to plan ahead for! A couple months roll by, and we set a date, time and location (Duke Gardens, yay!) for the maternity session.
Already from the e-mails going back and forth with Laura, I can tell she is a fun, spunky, sweet person, and her husband Mike has a sense of humor. He said that I would recognize them in the parking lot of Duke Gardens because Laura would look like the girl smuggling a pumpkin and two cantaloupes under her shirt!! hahaha!!!! Really, only one pumpkin or just two cantaloupes…but not all three!
We were worried about the heat, because, I hear that being pregnant in the summer is just not that fun. And since I couldn’t pack popsicles in my camera bag, I was hoping for a break in the heat. And wa lah! The first cool day in awhile. Perfect.
Mike and Laura – it was so fun to work with you! I enjoyed getting to know you, and I can’t wait to meet your little one come August!!
