I really wanted to title this post “the little Irish family”, because every time I say “O’Hearn, I have to say it with a bit of an Irish accent (which no one wants to hear!).
Love this little family!! We have been trying to coordinate our schedules and locations for a session for a few years now. Only because they live in Kansas, and I live in North Carolina!! They didn’t randomly find me though, Erin’s sister (Amy) is the first family I photographed in Virginia years ago (and continue to photograph). She (Amy) has since spread the word like wildfire about me, thus launching my VA/DC photography career into a complete success. She is good at spreading the word for me, and I am very grateful!
Back to the O’Hearns, we tried to meet up in Virginia when their first little one was a few months old, didn’t work. We then tried to meet up in the Outer Banks when their second little one was a few months old, but a hurricane blew in and that didn’t work :)
So when I was off to Tulsa to photograph a wedding, I thought, ah! I might be able to fly into Kansas City, rent a car, drive to their house, do a photo shoot and then head on to Tulsa. And that is exactly how it worked. Perfect!! Just in time to capture their newest addition, who was a few weeks old.
So happy to meet you O’Hearn family! Hopefully I will catch up with you again before your children are teenagers! ;)
