Yorkville, Illinois
Seriously, can it be September already?!!! The weather has been unseasonably cool here in North Carolina, and I’ve been enjoying it! I took a little walk around our new neighborhood today, I just needed to get away from my computer and get a breath of fresh air. What a great day!
I’ve been waiting to edit this session since I shot it. I had told my sister in law Megan, right before I landed in Chicago, that I really wanted to photograph a little newborn. Not that I hadn’t before, but I’ve been inspired to start a different type of newborn photography, and needed a teeny tiny subject to photograph. Megan happened to have a friend who just had a little girl last week. This little one was the perfect age, 6 days old, and so adorable!
My mom, who has always been a big supporter of my photography endeavors (even when I insisted on spending all of my allowance on developing film at a young age!), traipsed all over Naperville and Oswego finding just the things I needed for this session. It was fun to get out shopping together, even if it was in the pouring down rain!! We came up with some unique finds…I can’t wait to use them all in future sessions! And thanks to Megan for the perfect photo spot!
Thanks Kelli for bringing your precious little girl over, I hope that you cherish these pictures for many years!!
